One Plant Alone

The best is yet to come. Enjoy it with a cup of tea

Nature is a marvelous place. We just need to know where to look and to enjoy all the great benefits our health can get from it.

And no, I am not talking just about the outdoor activities, the great views and a nice swim in the sea or ocean. I am referring to the world of plants, the ones that are able to help us stay fit, get back on track and healthy, more than modern medicine. Let’s not forget that the Asian culture for example is known to look for guidance with respect to the green in this planet.

Today I want to tell you about my passion, something I started to look into 20 years ago and captivated my attention. One plant, one alone that can, with love and care give so much back and help in so many ways our body from inside out.

Camellia sinensis.

This one plant that is “responsible” for so many delicious and various drinks.

There are two varieties of the plant, Camellia sinensis sinensis, with smaller leafs that usually is used to produce white and green teas and Camellia sinensis assamica, first discovered in the region of Assam, with slightly bigger leafs that is used mostly for the black teas.

The different types of teas come from the  way the leafs are processed. Of course, the difference in the same category of tea is given by the location where the plant is growing, the soil, temperature, time of harvesting and so on but what makes white tea “white”, the green tea “green” and so on is the processing of the leafs.
