If you're cutting back on caffeine but still want a proper cup, rooibos is your friend. Naturally caffeine-free, smooth and slightly sweet with honey and vanilla notes – and it never turns bitter, however long you leave it.
Our long cut rooibos has longer needles than standard rooibos, giving a cleaner, rounder cup. Lovely with a splash of milk, or on its own.
How to prepare:
quantity: 15 - 20 g/l (approx. 4.5g per cup)
temperature: 100 C
brewing time: 7 to 10 minutes
Multiple infusion: could hold 2
Food pairing: Pairs well with blue cheese and chicken. Lightly salted snack items also balance beautifully with rooibos tea.

Ingredients: rooibos (long cut).
Rooibos ("red bush") grows only in the Cederberg mountains of South Africa's Western Cape. The leaves are cut, bruised and left to oxidise in the sun, which turns them from green to that rich red-brown and develops the sweet, honeyed flavour.
Make your own iced rooibos: brew 1 litre, leave it in the fridge overnight, strain, then add honey or a splash of fruit juice and fresh berries, orange or lemon. Kids love it as homemade ice lollies too.
